London-born art-rock musician, singer/songwriter and producer who has built his reputation with his consummate alt-pop debut album Propeller which was shortlisted in the UK album of the year category at the MPG Awards in 2013 followed by the release of his much anticipated second album Alexandrine (2015). His drive towards dramatic and emotive songcraft and passion for manipulating both analogue and digital sounds create a challenging cocktail of post-pop songs interlaced with modernistic art-rock electronica vibes skillfully underpinned by passionate vocals creating a unique musique concrete.
GRICE constructs art-rock songs that breathe introspection. Blending his ballad-singer openness and the feathered strength-and-vulnerability of his distinctive and resonating voice with a wide range of acoustic and electronic ingredients, has rewarded him with acclaim in art-pop and progressive rock circles, plus the opportunity to collaborate on his own terms with instrumental and production luminaries such as BJ Cole, Markus Reuter, Raphael Ravenscroft, Lee Fletcher, Hossam Ramzy, Richard Barbieri and Steve Jansen.
GRICE is a post rock singer-songwriter who likes to create music that lives on the edge; just mainstream enough to be accepted and yet full of the post rock off-kilter to keep you guessing.
'Alexandrine is an Art Rock gem - there is much that is filmic and Zen here. When personality is required, Grice's voice has it. Grice sounds like Grace' PROG magazine (Aug 2015)
