hungersleep productions Ltd receives financial support from the England European Regional Development fund
Thanks to support from ERDF, the hungersleep productions team will travel to Rome to establish new partnerships with the music industry and initiate collaborations with musicians in order to expand their networks and increase income streams.
This exciting venture will involve a number of recording sessions with hungersleep artist GRICE at Forward Studios, a world-class recording facility in the outskirts of Rome. The sessions will involve Italian recording engineers and creative input from internationally recognised Italian drummer Marco Maggiore.
GRICE's previous 2 albums (Propeller and Alexandrine) albums have attracted a growing dedicated fanbase and sales in the UK and in Europe (especially in Germany and The Netherlands). Since both albums had previously involved Italian avant-garde musician Luca Calabrese and with GRICE’s music mentor and collaborator Richard Barbieri being a patron of Forward Studios, Italy was the obvious choice.
During their visit to Rome, the hungersleep productions team will also aim to establish links with Italian record label Forward Music Italy. The label manages Forward's in-house productions benefitting of the cooperation of high profile producers, A&R and italian labels and it is currently looking for foreign partners to develop an international network of cooperation and promotion with an aim to attract UK musicians to the studio.

hungersleep records sign Siobhan McCrudden. We are elated to announce the signing of emerging singer-songwriter Siobhan McCrudden. Noted as ‘One to watch in 2016’ by newsoundwales, her voice has been described as 'fragile, pure and hugely distinctive'. Siobhan’s exquisite folk noir songwriting draws on her personal experiences, reflecting a vivid fascination with her folk roots. The result is a hauntingly nostalgic set of alluring indie folk narratives that defy any one particular genre and hypnotise those who succumb to their beauty.
Siobhan's debut album 'Icarus' Girl' is produced by Grice, who has been sonically sculpting and adding his distinctive cocktail of tasteful instrumentation, guitars and vocals with a dash of intoxicating soundscapes to help present a melancholic and intriguing world of sound. Icarus Girl will be released in Autumn 2018. We welcome Siobhan to the label and are excited to share her music with the world.

Propeller by GRICE is reviewed in Classic Rock presents PROG magazine (May edition 2012)
'Propeller is a revelation, its glorious textures and instrumentation drawing the listener in
as it flows seamlessly from one song to the next, never losing its intensity.
The four-part title track is particularly breathtaking.
